Recently we had the pleasure of holding the second Impact for Breakfast in Moldova where EVPA’s Martijn Bloom spoke about impact investment and impact funding. The audience gathered, from social entrepreneurs, organisations which support social enterprises to donors, newly created impact businesses and experts, led interesting discussions focusing not only social entrepreneurship, impact funds and investments in other countries but also SDG’s as a starting point for impact businesses, climate change and its importance for social entrepreneurs.


Several brainstorming sessions took place, adding important conversations to the table on how to promote social entrepreneurship in Moldova, how to promote products and services of social entreprises, which new skills to learn to be more impactful and also resulted in the creation of the bank of ideas. The brainstorming sessions inspired ideas for promotion and for learning goals in the professional area of social entrepreneurship for future.


Participants learned more about the concept and values of social enterprises, impact investment and climate change urgency. In addition, a tour of the EcoVillage was organised where the participants were introduced more in depth to the concept of ecological farming.
Besides gaining valuable insights on the topics of social entrepreneurship and impact funding, the participants also learned how to make their business greener. The regional HUB in Transnistria region showed interest in organising the Impact for Breakfast in their region, creating a possibility for even further impact of the Impact for Breakfast.
